Animated vignettes for the University of Newcastle Alumni Awards

Since 1975, the University of Newcastle has recognised alumni achievers for their innovation, creativity, and exceptional leadership. I was invited by Explanimate to form part of a team with other designers and animators to work on a series of videos recognising award winners for the 2021 awards ceremony. I was assigned to work on 2 of the 9 videos in the set.
Explanimate supplied the style frames and main character illustrations, which I used as a reference point to create additional characters and environments, all the while ensuring they aligned with the seven other animation storyboards being simultaneously created by other members of the team. Once my animations were complete, they were edited into a singular video combining everyone’s work for presentation at the ceremony.
